Julius Cartwright served as President of NAREB from 2011-2013.

Theme: New Era of Leadership

During President Cartwright’s administration he was able to take the marketing presence of NAREB to another level, and fully engage the organization with legislative issues and deeper relationships with the Congressional Black Caucus.  Mr. Cartwright worked with housing and Real Estate Professionals, Economists and Congressional Leaders to publish the first official NAREB Report on the State of Housing in Black America (SHIBA) in 2013.

Other important activities under his administration include:

  • The retirement of the mortgage loan for the Corporate NAREB office
  • Established the E-Zine Magazine
  • Created the Master Keys Series Program to recognize the exceptional achievements of Realtists®
  • Created the first “Braintrust” Event at the Congressional Black Caucus
  • Created “Black Diamond African American  Award
  • Met with President Obama’s Urban Whitehouse Team on Housing Issues

Mr. Cartwright hails from Cleveland, OH and has been a member of NAREB since 1989.  He is a 2013 REACH (Real Estate Associate Program); CICA International University and Seminary-Doctoral Degree.
